One of the best ways you can make the most of your new membership in the Chamber Jeffersontown is to take an active role in one of our committees. Below is a list of the committees and a brief description of what each one does. Please take a moment to look over them and sign up today.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS Voted and nominated position that involves a 3 year term.  Must attend monthly meetings and be involved in at least one other Chamber committee.  They contribute ample time, effort, and decision making skills to teh Chamber Jeffersontown's overall goals. 

Navigators
Contact: Shelley Heavrin or Carolyn Pfister
Committee member talents: Sales, communication, and a flexible work schedule
Planning:  Meets second Wednesday of each month, 4:00pm.  Welcomes, maintains, and grows the membership by supporting events, making calls and site visits.
Action: Delivering welcome bags, retention call program, mentoring new members, attend grand openings & ribbon cuttings.

Membership Committee
Contact: Carolyn Pfister
Committee member talents:  Sales and communication
Planning:  Meets third Wednesday of each month, 8:00am.  Growing the membership by organizing site visits and calls
Action: Phone blitzes, site visits to call on new business licenses. 

Retention committee
Contact: Carolyn Pfister
Committee member talents:  Motivated, independent, listener, gather member feedback and input
Planning: Meets bi-monthly. Retain the membership by measuring member satisfaction.
Action:  Follow through with retention visits

Finance committee
Contact: Barbara Oesterritter
Committee member talents: Budgets, accounting, and banking
Planning:  Meets third Tuesday of each month, 9:00am.  Discusses & reviews the finances and budget of the Chamber.
Action: Financial Planning for the Chamber

Project Support Team
Contact: Sharon Ernst
Committee member talents: Event planning, organizational, civic and community involvement, promotion
Planning: Meets second Tuesday bi-monthly, 3:00pm.  Supports the Chamber staff in the preparation and execution of membership programs and events
Duties: Set-up and volunteer for Business Expo, Have a Heart Program, Gaslight Festival events, Annual Meeting, etc.

Education Committee
Contact:  Shelley Heavrin
Committee member talents:  Education, training and workforce interests.
Planning: Meets last Friday of each month, 8:30am. Develop programs to advance the future workforce.
Action: Recognizes educational accomplishments, volunteer in schools

Diversity Outreach Council
Contact: Shelley Heavrin or Carolyn Pfister
Committee member talents: International Business, outreach, promotion, education
Planning:  Meets last Friday of each month, 9:00am. To welcome, serve and assist the diverse business community, by encouraging participation in The Chamber Jeffersontown.
Action: Phone blitz, promoting events, outreach, and mentor new members

Gaslight festival Committee
Contact:  Barbara Carby
Committee member talents: flexible schedule, community involvement, volunteerism
Planning: Be available the week of Gaslight Festival and for several one hour meetings leading up to it.
Action:  To volunteer and help execute Gaslight Festival Events.
